# Assembled & Exploded states # Consider assembly features (e.g. cuts) to improve clarity

" Individual renderings of important components # No need to render bolts, washers, etc… # Can group minor/similar components in single renderings # Identify any “outside” components (Toolbox, 3D Content Central, …)

" Notes # Goal is a realistic presentation of individual parts and the assembly # Use Best Quality for final render # Perspective view required for assemblies

! Animations " Frame rate should be generally be increased beyond 7.5 frames per

second # Judgment based on motion, viewpoint, number of gear teeth, etc.

" 800 x 600 is appropriate size and aspect ratio for PowerPoint presentations

" Suggest animations fill entire slide # Requires 4:3 aspect ratio

" Rendering of animations is optional # Greatly increases time to save the animation # Install PhotoView 360 Add-In, choose PhotoView as renderer when

! Animations in PowerPoint " Animations can be inserted into PowerPoint in one of two ways

# Imbedded in presentation o Insert option in file dialog o Imbedded in *.pptx file o Do not need to maintain animation file

# By reference o Link to File option in file dialog o Does not imbed file into presentation o Video file must be maintained along with the PowerPoint file

• Strongly recommend same folder as the *.pptx file o Only method in pre 2007 versions of PowerPoint

" Suggestion: Test to make sure your animations run in PowerPoint # Test in presentation room if possible

! Decorum " All students need to arrive on time and stay for the entire time " Please give your quiet attention to your classmates as they present

# You will appreciate the same from them during your presentation " Talking, texting, use of computer, etc. during the presentations is not
