PROJECT PROPOSAL
BACKGROUND
The fashion industry is one of the most promising industries in the world recording over billions everywhere. Almost everyone is leaning towards fashion and the investors are looking nowhere further than investing in some of these fashion houses. The idea of setting up a t-shirt shop came to me when I noticed that they go with everything. You can wear a t-shirt with almost anything. With campaigns going on left, right and center, I decided to delve into printing t-shirts and selling them all under one roof.
Business summary
The T-shirt shop is going to be selling unisex t-shirts. They will all be graphically designed t-shirts specifically made for people aged 13-25. The shop will be located right outside our school because of readily available market. The start-up capital will mostly come from a bank loan I plan on taking with my parents as guarantors, and also my savings. I will have two employees who shall be helping me handle the designing bit and attending to clients. With time I’d like to see it grow to doing major orders like for schools and having staff deliver it to people and places.
Project Goals
· To be a shop that stands out from all the other t-shirt businesses-this will be done by specializing in making graphic t-shirts for specific ages.
· To aim for quality in every aspect i.e. material, design and service-the quality of the t-shirt should be good quality. The customers will be served promptly and as per their requests. The designs should be outstanding; this will be ensured through employment of of the best people in this career field.
· To be a self-sustaining business that can finance itself and make profits as well-in two months, the business should have broken even and the profits used to pay the electricity bills and labor.
Project Objectives
· To specialize in designing customized t-shirts and nothing less or more-specializing will help the business specialize in a specific place and grow. It will become a master at designing customized t-shirts.
· To put the customer first at all times and treat every customer with the same level of significance-this means top notch customer service.
· To sell a minimum of 10 t-shirts in a week-this will be after the business has broken even. The orders should be done as quickly as possible.

-shop fit out $1500
2.Running costs-electricity 1 month $200
Buying t-shirts (10) $400
Rent (1 month) $600
Labor costs 1 month $500
Overall cost $4000
Staffing resources
· 2 employees- to help in printing and serving clients, cash registry and help in cleaning the shop.
Non-staffing resources
· Printers
· Cash register machine
· Electricity
Challenge and recommendation
Electricity outage- the electricity supply is not always assured and can once in a while go out when we have pending orders. The printer is highly dependent on electricity. I suggest having an agreement with the client to give an allowance of 1 week while awaiting their order. This will give us time and give an allowance in case of power outages.
