PROJECT STEPS
1. Change the theme colors of the document to Yellow (10th option in the Theme Colors palette).
2. Resize the picture of the bicycle at the beginning of the document so that it is 2.5" tall.
3. Apply the Simple Frame, Black picture style to the picture, and then apply the Orange, 8 pt. glow, Accent color 3 Glow picture effect.
4. Change the Paragraph Spacing Before the headline paragraph “Campus Bicycle Resource and Repair Center” to 18 pt.
5. Change the case of the headline paragraph to UPPERCASE, change the font size to 18 pt., and then center the paragraph.
6. Bold the words “tune up your bicycle” in the paragraph that begins “Do you want…”.
7. In the same paragraph, delete the sentence “Cycology 101 was founded to encourage alternative forms of transportation such as bicycling.”
8. In the next paragraph, find the phrase “offers the following resources and services:” Type the text Cycology 101 so that the sentence reads “Cycology 101 offers the following resources and services:”.
9. Create a bulleted list beginning with the paragraph “Free use of tools…” and ending with the paragraph “Bicycling events, including rides and classes”. (Hint: Your bulleted list should contain four items.)
10. Select the bulleted list and change the font to Cambria and the font color to Orange, Accent 4, Darker 25% (8th column, 5th row in the Theme Colors palette).
11. Italicize the text “Visit our website to find a current list of events”.
12. Select the paragraph “www.cycology.cengage.org” and then:
a. Apply the outline text effect Gold, Accent 1 (5th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette).
b. Change the font color to Orange, Accent 3 (7th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette).
13. With the paragraph “www.cycology.cengage.org” still selected, apply paragraph shading Orange, Accent 2, Darker 25% (6th column, 5th row in the Theme Colors palette).
14. In the blank line after the paragraph “www.cycology.cengage.org”, insert the picture file support_SC_W13_C1_P1b_bicycle.jpg available for download from the SAM website.
15. Add a page border of your choosing to the document. (Hint: To match the Final Figure below, select the 4th option from the border Style list). Change the width of the border to 2 ¼ pt. and change the border color to Orange, Accent 2 (6th column, 1st row in the Theme Colors palette).
Your document should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the document, and exit Word. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
