ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY Rough Draft due in class on Tuesday 19 April (2 hard copies; minimum length 4 entries) Final Draft due via email by 11:59p on Tuesday 3 May (along with Final Paper) NB: Please attach your document file in your email. Email subject heading should read LASTNAME Paper 2 ENGL 1020-35. Also, name your document in the following fashion: LASTNAME Paper 2 ENGL 1020-35.doc (or .docx). That would look like this, for example: MINARICH Paper 2 ENGL 1020-35.doc. Be sure that your file is .doc or .docx, or I will not be able to open it!!! CRITERIA *Your Annotated Bibliography should include entries for all sources you plan to use in your essay. Therefore, the final draft of your Annotated Bibliography should contain 5-7 entries. *Each entry should include/address the following: -MLA-style Works Cited entry at the beginning of the entry -¶1: Identification of source’s main point/argument Summary of the source’s main points/key evidence -¶2: Description of how you plan to use this source in your essay/how this course connects to your argument *Each entry should be ½ - 1 double-spaced page in length. *Entries should be organized in alphabetical order according to author’s last name. *If you quote anything from your source in your entry, be sure to have an in-text citation. *The Annotated Bibliography should be turned in as a separate document from your Final Paper. For help with your Annotated Bibliography, please review WT Chapter 14: Research Papers (pp. 296-297 – The Annotated Bibliography Microgenre). Also, see WT Chapter 27, the Purdue OWL website, or an MLA style guide for help with your citations. You can always ask me or a consultant at the Writing Center, too, if you have questions about proper citations.
