Main objective of this project is to train teachers in elementary schools to use iMovie in the classroom. I used the online site for the delivery of skills through the division of the site for several categories according to specific skills that achieve goals. It was relying on the provision of skill through a video display to explain each skill alone .The trainee run the video and follow the correct way to use iMovie. I was much care to design the shape of the site, I have also consulted many experts in web design in the method used by content delivery. ETEC_676 class with Mr. Bedan Kamau have had a reason to change a lot of ideas that I intend to do in this project, I have learned how to shoot a video computer screen, which gave me the idea of providing all the skills through instructional videos to provide skills more easily.
Through access to a number of similar sites that gave me a clear direction in the structure navigation. Trainees can navigate the site without bothering to explain for them. I put the titles are clear at the top of page which refers to the type of skill which we want to deliver. Upon entry to any page and the trainee will find clearly skill title, and followed by a video explaining.
I relied in submitting materials on the importance of a logical sequence, so that all knowledges be interconnected with each other. trainee moves from one skill to another is balanced without feeling any shortcomings needed for the following skill.” Many components of your unit will involve learning activities such as practice exercises, discussions, or research. This may occur through the tutorials, laboratory sessions, pre-class preparation, study guides etc. These also need careful sequencing so that each activity builds on what came before.”(Southern Cross University).According to several theories that are interested learners need to know the objectives that have been formulated to provide the Material, it has been presented objectives and clearly at the beginning of the site to be able to know.This helps learners much of what will be provided to them, and makes them more focused during the educational process “research has demonstrated that writing objectives helps students to stay focused on what they are to learn, determines what is important and keeps classroom activities focused. “ (Erick Herrmann).
The content provided in this project commensurate with Bloom's Taxonomy. The first three stages have been achieved from Bloom's Taxonomy, a knowledge, comprehension and application. Website has began definition iMovie and its importance. After that, the explanation of all the skills in detail ,and finally apply what they have learned.Method of content delivery partially compatible with “Gagne’s Nine Events” which then attract the attention of the trainees during the discussion at the beginning of the lesson about the importance of using technology in education and what is the impact on teacher and student, as well as through the presentation of some of the information at the beginning of the website.The delivery of learning objectives for the trainees through displayed directly on the front page of the website.Also, the website contains multiple stimuli through objectives as well as information that explains the value of learning iMovie and the expected impact.The content was properly in all capacities, as does not require specific skills to navigate between them, and then there's feedback, as well as an assessment of the performance at each stage.Content and methods used in the design of this website was to follow for Gagne's Nine Events .
