Running Head: CONVENTION PROPOSAL 1

CONVENTION PROPOSAL 2

Hotel

Orange County has many hotels that meet the standard requirements as set out by the organizing committee. A step by step analysis was done on seven hotels indicates that they are able to host over seven thousand guests, having not exhausted the entire number of available ones. Orange County Convention Center currently ranks as the second largest convention center in the US hence its ability and capacity to host high-end conventions is proven and unchallenged. Hotel’s selection was done in a sound manner, with considerations of cost and proximity from the center among the main factors. The closest hotel is 0.2 miles away while the furthest is 0.8 miles away from the center. Of the seven hotels, one is a 2.5 star, which ranks lowest, three hotels are 3.5 stars, two hotels are 4 stars and one is 4.5 star which ranks highest. The general feeling here is that all guests, both high end, and middle class shall have favorable options to choose from.

Transportation.

Orange County Convention Center is well served by reliable modes of transport namely road, railway, and air. Its proximity from Orlando International Airport is appealing. Additionally, it’s well surrounded by other world class entertainment, dining, and shopping facilities which are well connected to the mentioned forms of transport. Guests shall choose from the following available transportation methods within the location; shuttles, taxis, I-ride trolley and LYNX Bus. Moving in and out of the city is well catered for as various modes of transport are interlinked whereby most private and public transport companies having terminals within the airport. Since the Orange County Convention Center controls several DMS signs along several routes, guests are expected to have an easy time for parking. Another helpful service offered is the movement of guests from the parking spaces to their various destinations depending on the day’s activity.
