Assessment Item 2 Project Report

Description/Focus: Students will be required to summarise and present the details of their

placement or research project through a Project Report.

Value: 30 %

Due date: Friday, Week 12

Length: Maximum of 2500 words

Task: STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE A PLACEMENT

Students would be required to prepare a Project Report based on the

professional practice project undertaken by them during the program.

This report would include detailed information about the project

undertaken, summarizing all the information and experiences obtained

during the placement. These experiences would be supported by the

theoretical knowledge obtained during the student course (BACC).

Students are expected to reflect in this report a good amalgamation of

the theoretical knowledge obtained with its practical implementation in

the work place.

Student should provide information about the projects undertaken

during their placement and details about the roles and responsibilities

required for the placement opportunity.

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT COMPLETE A PLACEMENT AND UNDERTAKE A RESEARCH PROJECT

Students will be expected to undertake an independent research

project under the direction and supervision of the lecturer. The project

would involve completing a research project identifying a specific

problem relating to accounting, auditing or finance and suggestions or

systems to meet the problem.

Students will be provided some information about the key research

areas and key research topics which can be used for this research

project. In identifying the research question students will complete a

literature review, have a methodology in place, collect data (through

secondary sources) analyse the data and submit a final report.

Presentation: Report will be submitted in a word format, use font size Arial 11, with

1.5 line spacing. APA referencing style required.
