“Family Support Through Difficult Times”

Giving birth twins the most uplifting thing that could have happened to me as a human

being. This is because I did not think I would ever have the opportunity to live that experience

due to ongoing health issues I suffered during my early years. Managing this was one of the

hardest things I had to do since I was not prepared physically or mentally and honestly I had

given up hope. Me and their father went through a difficult separation where he left without

an explanation prior to me finding out I was expecting a child. This was one of the hardest

moment of my life and it was only through the support of my family that I managed to pull

through. I from there on learned some of the most fruitful lessons during this time period in

my life. Having a supportive family has provided a lot of valuable lessons that have enabled me

to develop and mature in a positive way to become a better person.

The support that my parents and my brother have given me in everything that I have tried to

Accomplish has strengthened me to be the person that I am today. They offered me a lot of

support through this whole process and they also have helped me and guided me in the right

directions for me to be the best mother that I can be. I am grateful every day for the for the

kind of people that they are and thanks to them throughout these years I have had the

opportunity to better myself and work towards my career goals. They encouraged me to go

back to school my dad would always tell me and my brother do not make the same mistakes as

me go to school get a career and make something out yourself and as I was younger I just

thought he was just an old man bluffing.

My parents have always been instrumental in bringing the whole family together including

my grandparents who also supported in many different ways when they were still living. I can

say they are a true blessing I would not be who I am today if it was not for the support they

offered me. They have played an active role in my kids my kids life my father and by brother

became the dads that they lost. They have thought me to not let my issues, anger, and

frustration to control me instead become a loving caring mother that those boys desperately need and for that I thank them every day.

To have the support from parents and my brother is truly and amazing thing. My brother I

can truly say is a true role model of a man. Today he is an airborne sergeant in the military and

the reason he is such an inspiration is because he has been there for me supporting me every

step of the way being that father role for my children and encouraging me to become a better

person everyday he is one of the reasons why I finally made the decision of returning to school.

When he graduated high school he applied for financial aid to attend college and was denied so

he told the family he was leaving to the military he could stay working somewhere minimum

wage he wanted something better for his life and so he left and it was very difficult time for the

whole family but together we made through today it has been five years since he achieved his

college degree and has accomplished so many things in the military so even though he is

younger he gives me that motivation to stay strong and want to achieve bigger and better

things not only for me and my family.

To have your family who fully supports and encourage you to take positive steps is one of

the most beautiful and magnificent things in life. I feel that I have been blessed to have such a

supportive and loving family whose members have remained as my backbone through my

challenging moments. What I am trying to say we should love, cherish, and appreciate those

who will always be there through the good the bad and the great. Our family is something that

cannot be replaced so accept and respect them for who they are.
