I. Introduction
Strong writers often include catchy or attention grabbing quotes, facts or statements at the beginning. This can make your paper more interesting and the reader will want to keep reading..
a. Include background information on topic.. (What is your topic? What is your major? Why is your topic important in your field? Why is it controversial?)
b. Thesis statement (state where you stand with the argument)
i. The last sentence of your introduction paragraph should be your thesis statement. This is your side of the argument: For example, “The advantages of electric cars outweigh the disadvantages.”Your thesis is the most important sentence in your paper. Your body paragraphs simply support your thesis by giving the reasons why you believe your thesis.
II. Body (the number of paragraphs may differ depending on your topic/points/reasons.
