Different economies around the world will be affected differently by the introduction of electronic cars. In a country such as Denmark where the cost of electricity is already high, electric cars will increase the taxes levied upon the people by the government to carter for the high cost of electricity consumption. This increase in taxes can result in inflation and weaker economy since the citizens will have to spend more money paying for electricity and have little left to grow the economy. In countries such as the U.K however, electric cars will result in a stronger economy. This is because the United Kingdom has lower prices on electricity than on fuel, and many citizens will therefore opt for the electric cars. To most people, electric cars will be a cheaper alternative to fuel powered cars. Cheaper items consequently improves the economy of a country since people are left with enough money to purchase things and build the economy in the process.
Buying of electric cars in large quantities is another important factor in building up a stronger economy. In countries where electricity costs are affordable, most people will opt for electric cars leading to more purchase of these cars. If more cars are purchased, the government can gain in the form of tax revenues implied on car companies leading to a growth in the economy of such countries. Moreover, countries that export and manufacture cars will have an instant growth in their economy. This growth will result from increased demand for cars from these countries. Governments of these manufacturing countries can imply high taxes on exported electric cars to raise revenue for the country leading into a growth in the economy. Countries should ensure a balance between the cost of electricity and maintaining electric cars to increase consumer consumption.
