CAREER INTEREST & EXPLORATION PERSONAL INTERVIEW
The expectation is this person would be a relatively new or recent career network contact. This person would not necessarily be someone who has an opening or could hire you; but someone who can give insight and advice on how to build relationships within your desired industry and how to start and advance in this career field.
· Include the person’s name, email address and telephone number, current career title and company, and how you identified this professional to interview.
· Include the date, time, and physical location of the interview.
· Write out 7 to 10 open-ended questions you will ask the person regarding this career field.
· Take summary notes on the response to each question as you will need to include a concise written summary of each question’s response, printed under the question that was asked. This should be several sentences summarizing the person’s content and intent for each question.
· Conclude by writing a summary statement (3 or 4 paragraphs) on how this interview reinforced or changed your desire to enter this career field.

· How does your job affect your general lifestyle?
· What personal characteristics in addition to skills are essential to succeed in this career/job?

· What are the most attractive aspects of this job?
