Essay Requirements

(Only one essay is required for consideration by all scholarship programs.)  In the box below, briefly explain your reasons for submitting this application.  Discuss each of the following topics: 1.  Your personal circumstances as related to your financial need for a scholarship

My reason why I need this money is because I ran out of Tution Assistance provided by the militaryand I am now paying out of pocket so I can accomplish my goal of finishing my degree before my next Military evaluation.

2.  Your academic and career goals

My academic goals include graduating with a 3.0 or higher. Career goals include using my degree to become an Army Officer (elaborate more on being some type of army officer. Hint” my degree will be in Health Services management)

3.  Your current employment and its relationship to your future plans

My current employment includes being a full time active duty army soldier. I work hard balancing work and school. I currently work directly with a 3 star General so I am getting exposure in the world I desire to work in.

4.  Your leadership roles and community involvement

I am a leader at both work and in the community. I set up and manage conferences, meetings and various agenda amoung some of the US most influential leaders. My community work includes volunteering with the Europe red cross, a Single soldiers program on my instaliation and local post clean up program.

5.  Elaborate on all of the items you checked under the "Check any that apply" section
