My Life Philosophy Paper & Life Trajectory Table
GUIDELINES FOR Life PHILOSOPHY Paper & LIFE TRAJECTORY Table
The paper is a minimum of two pages of narrative, single- or double-spaced, 11 or 12 point font. Include at least 10 photos of you at different developmental levels and label each photo with a caption (be sure to identify yourself), the date, and event. Photos of you at important events in your life or with people you care about may be a good way to select photos for inclusion. These may be photos that depict your significant positive or negative life events, or they may be photos of you at other meaningful moments in your life. If you can find pictures on the Internet or from magazines or other media that represent what your 3 life dreams look like to you, then include them, too. If you have these, you will have a total of 13 photos. You may include more than 13. Ten photos (minus the dreams pictures) are the minimum required number.
Include your comprehensive life trajectory with the paper so that they may be viewed in tandem. You have already received grades for the trajectory, so the grade you receive on the paper will reflect only work on the paper.
The paper will contain:
1. One paragraph describing your life.
2. Section one: Positive Life Events (minimum of 5)
3. Section two: Negative Life Evens (minimum of 5)
4. Section three: How positive life events changed you
5. Section four: How negative life events changed you
6. Section five: How did positive life events set the stage for you to move forward in your life and achieve your desires or goals?
7. Section six: How did negative life events set the stage for difficulty in moving forward toward your desires or goals?
8. Reflect on your life balance. Do you think your life has been primarily positive or negative? If you could go back and change anything, what would you change and why?
9. Based on the positive and negative events in your life thus far, would you say you are a happy person? Why or why not? How did the positive and negative life events lead you to this point?
