week 14
OLP 4404/5504 Critical Reflection Assignment – 13 points
Critical reflection on our activities as learners (and teachers) help us to improve our practice by identifying areas of strengths, areas for development, and ways in which we can enhance our personal learning both in the classroom and in the workplace.
There are four questions you will answer for this paper
· Questions 1-3 ask you to reflect on yourself as a learner in this class this semester.
· Question 4 asks you to reflect on the course content and the meaningfulness and usefulness of the content for you.
Requirements for the paper: Cover sheet. Paper should following APA guidelines (1-inch margins, Times New Roman font, 12 point size, double spaced). Correct grammar and complete sentences should be used for this paper. There are no page length requirements for this paper, but I am looking for you to “dig below the surface” and do critical reflection on your learning experience, and your role as the learner. You will likely have 1-5 paragraphs for each of the questions.
Please reflect on and then answer the following 4 questions.
1. Based on your experience, including our class this semester what are your strengths as a learner? How can you continue to maximize these strengths in the future? (consider including your own motivation, values, learning activities that come easily to you, those you enjoy, the learning environments that work best for you, strengths that relate to the online environment, etc.)
2. Based on your experience, including our class this semester, what are your areas for development as a learner? How will you continue to develop these areas in the future? (consider your own motivation, values, learning activities with which you struggle, those you do not enjoy, the learning environments that are challenging for you, personal development areas that relate to the online environment, etc.)
3. How will your experiences in this class affect your practice as a student (or instructor) in the future? Why? (for example, what might you start, stop, continue doing in the future?)
4. What are your most important/significant/impactful learnings from this semester? Why are these important to you? How will these learning impact you, your role and your organization/career aspirations in “real life?”
If you have additional comments for Robin on this class that you would like to share, feel free to include them on a separate page.
