Managing time
Time management is very essential in day to day life of every person. These days, time appears to be at a premium. There are devices that constantly keep us connected with family, friends and work and at times even with total strangers. As a result it is easy to get distracted. Having a lot to accomplish, management of time is very essential. It is very important for a person to set goals and a list of what they want to accomplish. After setting these goals, one should then prioritize. Effectiveness and efficiency are not the same. A person may be hardworking and well organized but spends all on things that are not important and this makes him or her efficient. An effective person is one who is able to decide on the things that are important and urgent and focuses on them first (Davidson, 2000).
Observation and getting of the baseline data can be done through spending at least 50 percent of one’s time engaged in the conversations, activities and thoughts that will produce most of their results. The tasks should also be broken down into their components so that each can be accomplished a step at a time.
