A collection of quantitative data pertaining to a particular subject
The science that deals with the collection, tabulation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative data

Variables or attributes
A variable is either continuous or discrete
Difference between accuracy & precision

Inductive statistics
Determines a conclusion from a small amount of data about a much larger amount of data

Measures of central tendency
Average equals the sum of observations divided by the number of observations
Median divides a series of observations with half above the number and half below
Mode is the value that occurs most frequently
Measures of dispersion
Range is the difference between the largest and smallest numbers in a series
Standard Deviation is a value that measures the spreading tendency of the data
