Spring 2016
Format
· The paper is two (2) pages (not 1.5 or 3 pages), typed, double-spaced (not 1.5 spaces), 1 inch margins on all sides, Times New Roman, 12-point font.
· Print double-sided (you will turn in one (1) sheet of paper).
· Use correct grammar and spelling (make sure you check). Graduate-level writing should be virtually error-free.
· Single-spaced, on the upper right corner of the page is the following:

· Double-space and give full citation of the reading
· Double-space and begin analysis
· Do not add extra spaces between paragraphs. (Double space only)
Reaction Paper Guidelines & Suggestions
Briefly identify the main theses or arguments of the author(s).
Critically analyze and react to, or critique, theses or arguments either positively or negatively.
What did you learn about the topic?
How does the topic fit with the week’s topic?
What questions do you have about the reading?
Do not simply summarize the case or article; this is about your analysis and what you think.
Do not simply make a bulleted list or a list of questions.
Don’t discuss whether or not you enjoy the author’s writing style.
Reaction Paper Checklist--Did you:
· Use Times New Roman, 12-point font?
· Set margins at 1 inch on all sides?
· Write 2 full pages?
· Use correct spelling and grammar?
· Print paper double-sided?
· Eliminate any extra spacing or lines between paragraphs?
· Follow format for name, etc.?
· Indicate which number paper you are on (e.g., Reaction Paper #3)?
· Give full citation of reading?
· Critically examine and specifically react to an assigned reading?
