Based upon the readings in Chapter 9, Rubin, and Chapter 10, Palfrey, and this unit's videos (Windmill and Patriot Act), reflect upon how YOU will support, in your professional practice, this statement from the ALA Freedom to Read Statement:
We believe rather that what people read is deeply important; that ideas can be dangerous; but that the suppression of ideas is fatal to a democratic society. Freedom itself is a dangerous way of life, but it is ours.
