What level of carbohydrate is recommended for this athlete and sport? Discuss how

carbohydrates are utilized when your athlete is actively participating in the sport.

Prepare a 2-page paper (with at least 2 APA style references) to address the following:

1. Determine the correct percentage of carbohydrate the athlete’s diet needs to contain.

This also includes the amount of grams and calories that the carbohydrates provide.

2. Explain the steps in carbohydrate metabolism during athletic activity.

3. Describe the storage of carbohydrate in the athlete.
