JACK DORSEY, EVAN WILLIAMS, bid stone and NOAH GLASS were involved in this creation

It was launched in 2006 and considered as a SMS of the internet for online people

Twitter was formed as a company in early 2007

Dominated as one of the largest social media site in the world

The idea behind this initiative was to enable the people texting like cell phones

This was easier way to let people interact with a text messages and reply to each other

An individual can follow or be followed by the other people through sharing the ideas

Twitter has named four companies "official data resellers," and these companies have direct access to all tweets.

Coca-Cola Co could look at what people in LA are saying about its Coke Zero, or Starbucks Corp could find out what people in Florida are saying about Frappuccino. Companies can also look at how they have responded to consumer complaints.

Users are able to create games and play with friends. Rate locations, food, service, etc.
