Elavon’s Global Acquiring Solutions organization is part of U.S. Bank’s Payment Services division. U.S. Bancorp is the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
Elavon is seeking an Application Systems Administrator in the Terminal Management Systems (TMS) area. The group is responsible for Elavon’s TMS infrastructure, including vendor-specific systems, application implementation, TMS communication, and database infrastructure, along with providing support for Point-Of-Sale (POS) device debit injection systems that contribute toward the success of the North America POS product objectives for new and existing customers. Additional responsibilities include:
· Assists in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications;
· Validates system functionality after changes;
· Ensures proper TMS support for functional, operational system performance, and integration testing at each stage of the product development and release process;
· Participates in testing and installing new software releases and application system updates;
· Monitors and fine-tunes the application system to achieve optimum performance levels;
· Works with internal infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve issues with hardware and software;
· Maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation;
· Ensures effective release management process and procedures are in place and executed upon;
· Participates in monthly maintenance, business continuity, and disaster recovery, including SLA agreements and performance monitoring;
· Ensures compliance with business continuity policies;
· Ensures operating systems, database, and other applications within the TMS infrastructure remain current and in compliance; and
· Participates in debit injection system implementation and hardware support within the Knoxville deployment center, including support for internal and external audits.

The location of this role is Knoxville, TN.
When scheduled the position requires the candidate to work off-hours (i.e., on a Sunday evening into Monday morning) in the support of implementing new software and/or system hardware into production, as well as monthly maintenance. On a rotating basis, the position also provides off-hour, on-call support for the Production Download systems.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
· Associates degree or equivalent work experience
· At least 3 years experience with computer hardware, servers, and software applications
Preferred Skills / Experience:
· Database management and supporting applications with some Oracle and SQL experience
· Application software implementation
· Hardware infrastructure, such as network administration, server configuration, modem configurations, and modem troubleshooting skills
· Technical troubleshooting
