Note: This is a example of one of my classmate with have to discuss her o make our own concept.

Hello Professor and class,

Managers providing an kind of feedback can be crucial to employees and can prove to be challenging. Timely and effective feedback are the 2 challenges I identified.

1. I feel a manager should tell an employee in a timely manner what they did well, need to improve on, and how to improve their performance at work. A manager can overcome this challenge by providing frequent feedback to employees. Opening the lines of communication to let an employee know how well they may or may not be doing can improve their motivation and job performance.

2. Effective feedback is also important because it can also provide motivation to employees or let them know if they are not doing a job well. Feedback should be effective so a person do not mistake it for advice and know that it is important to their job. A manager can overcome this challenge of providing effective feedback by asking questions to see if the staff understands their review.

Of the concepts covered in the textbook, I feel that all of the methods combined would be best if implemented well because a manager should know how to provide positive and negative feedback on a regular basis and know how to balance it out. It is important for the staff to know how well they are or are not doing their job because good job performance helps with a businesses production rate. All of these factors lead to communication, which is needed between managers and staff.
