Career Plan Paper
Personal Career Planning-paper
This paper should be at least five pages in length (not including cover page) and in a MLA form, including double-spaced, page numbers, 12 pt. type, one-inch margins, appropriate headings and subheadings, and NO TYPOS.
After your cover page (which includes title of paper, your name, date), your paper must contain these three major sections, following the instructions of each section carefully :
I. Introduction: Include in this first section a brief (i.e., single paragraph) description of the purpose of this paper, why it is important, and what it will cover.
II. Professional Development Investigation: In this second section you will report on two things (using appropriate subheadings to separate them):
1. Analyze insights that you have gained this semester about information of interest for your future career, including insights gained from class sessions and outside-of-class campus activities and special speaker events. It is strongly recommended that from the beginning you keep a log or simple journal of these personal insights.
1. Consider possible areas and plans for future professional skills improvement (e.g., interpersonal and group management skills, technical skills, and oral and written communication skills) that you believe would strengthen your future career in university and beyond, and explain why. To assist with this section, be sure to carefully consider your results of your early Skills Inventory exercise .
III. Career Plans: Construct a simple diagram, chart, or outline of a tentative plan for guiding your learning and professional development over the next few years (including summers) before you graduate from university. Be sure to include (A.) the business classes that you tentatively plan to take, including those specifically related to your major( Investment class, Entrepreneurship class ), (B.) possible plans for study abroad, (C.) professional student organizations with which you might participate and (D.) possible internship experiences
