• your topic:

-what are you researching?

-what are the major/relevant themes/issues?

-why are you choosing to focus on it in this course?

We are all know that people is the ruler of the world. People also is the basic element of population. The population changing is relate to the development of the world. So find out what reason make population changing looks important for humans. First we must know birth and death rate are the basic point make the population changing. Economic, cultural and education, medical health, social environment are all the factors make population changing through affect the birth and death rate.

• your objectives:

-what did you want to learn about the topic?

-what have you learned about the topic?

-how will you go forward from here? What will you try to discover next?

Actually, the factor of population changing is always relate to its two basic idea which is birth and death rate. I believe that looking for the reason affect those two point will figure out more.

I found birth and death rate are just surface phenomena. There are many other reason would effect that. Such as the economic factors affect the growth rate through influencing the survival condition, the medical progress and the development of medical and health services have a direct impact on the birth rate and death rate of the population, and the culture and education factor also include 3 sub-points: by the people accept the extension of education, the average age of marriage and birth are extension; the infant mortality rate reduce through people have more physiological knowledge; the higher scientific and cultural level people reach, the idea of fewer birth better educating is stronger.

I still believe that not only those factor make the population changing, it should be more. I will try to find more factors about race and region affect population changing.

• your approach to research:

-what sources have you used? (how did you do research)?

-what choices have you made to expand and/or limit specific parts of the topic?

I was read a paper in science News Paper, which pointed some reason would effect population change. I was interesting in that, then I follow the factor of the population change to get some book about that.

Just like I said, the birth and death rate is main or basic point affect population change. So limit the topic in how to affect the birth rate and death rate will find out what reason make population changing.
