To set up the F1-29 the students must make sure it has been placed on a firm level surface. Then the tubes from the reservoir are connected to each tube figuration. Once properly connected the reservoir is filled to a depth of approximately 130 mm. To start the first experiment the students ensure the outlet valve is closed then opened the valve at the base of the reservoir to allow water to flow into the all the tube configurations. Then recorded the data. The second experiment used the dual limb with the existing setup. A student is assigned to each limb, when the stop watch starts a third student opens the outlet valve for a predetermined time (sec) before being closed again. Record the difference in heights. The third experiment uses the U tube setup with a syringe (filled with air) attached to the top of one of the legs. A student applies pressure while another student records the water level change. Repeat this step except with negative pressure. For the final experiment, a student pulls the pin and tilts the incline manometer to 60̊ from the horizontal. Record the water level, then take a large ruler to find the datum line. Repeat the experiment again except at 30̊ from the horizontal.
