1. Organizational Behavior Week 9:

According to your textbook Nelson and Quick, (2015) we continue to move from the traditional methods of examining organizational design and structure, several forces are reshaping organizations such as the life cycles in organizations, globalization, changes in technology and demands on organizational processes. Give a detailed example of how your current employer or your last employer is meeting the challenges of these non-traditional forces.

Watch the video titled, “How Disney Develops Culture” (6 min 35 s). You can also view the video at http://vimeo.com/109015050. Disney University’s four (4) fundamentals are to innovate, support, educate and entertain. Briefly describe the type of organization in which you are currently employed or were last employed.  Explain and give two (2) examples how leaders sustain the culture in that organization, good or bad. Note: When incorporating information from the workplace, be sure to remove all identifying information such as the name of the organization, the names of individual affiliates, and sensitive or proprietary information.

2. Business Admin Capstone Week 9 #1:

Determine whether the current organizational structure at Domino’s is a good match for its corporate strategies. Explain your rationale.

Evaluate alternative structures to determine which one would be most appropriate for Domino's to consider and discuss likely benefits Domino’s would realize from adopting that structure. Provide specific examples to support your response.

3. Business Admin Capstone Week 9 #2:

Compare and contrast strategic controls and financial controls. Provide specific examples of how each may be used to best serve a corporation.

As a strategic leader, determine if you would feel ethically responsible for developing your firm’s human capital and state why. Discuss whether or not you believe your position is consistent with the majority or minority of today’s strategic leaders.

4. Business Law Week 9:

Review this video, which reports the growing number of evictions as rents rise and property values increase. After 50 years at the same address, a 98 year old woman faces eviction. Although laws are different in each state, renters are having a harder time fighting evictions.

Suppose you are the judge, and a case is presented before you where a tenant is facing eviction. The landlord has been in constant contact with the tenant and is able to supply the texts and notes to the tenant. However, the tenant agrees that the landlord did contact him, but the tenant claims there was not sufficient notice. The landlord is able to show months of texts and notes begging for the rent from the tenant. What are the legal considerations you would evaluate to determine the claims of the tenant and the landlord? In whose favor would you rule, and why? Be sure to support your legal analysis.

5. Sociology Week 9:

Some of the most serious abuses taking place in developing countries deal with child labor, human slavery, sweatshops, bad governance, and environmental degradation. Select one (1) developing country, and examine the extent to which two (2) of these five (5) issues are occurring. Support your response with specific examples.
