Each part of the project each week has to be done separately then put together at the end for the final project. I can’t just keep adding to the whole paper each week.

Week 1----already completed

In this module you will begin by selecting a company that you are interested in researching.

The proposal will contain 5 sections.

Begin your report by completing the following sections:

Title Page (APA formatted) (1 page)

Introduction to the research project (Including company industry and background and what the 'topic' of the research will be. Also include commentary on any ethical considerations that you expect to encounter) (1 page)

Problem Statement (or what is your research trying to prove or disprove?) (1 page)

Research Objectives (or what you hope the results of the research will do for the company) (1 page)

References (Begin your Reference page, but add to it as needed throughout the life of the project) (1 - 2 pages)

Research project proposals can include:

A marketing plan for a product

A survey or poll for a political candidate or organization

A reorganization of a department or office within a business

A public relations campaign for a business or organization

An advertising campaign for a product or service

A demographic survey of people who use a certain product or service

A survey to be used by the U.S. Census Bureau to determine population in a certain metropolitan area

A customer survey to determine feedback from restaurant patrons on the restaurant's service and quality of the restaurant's food

A focus group plan or study for a product or service

A plan on how to improve inventory flow more effectively and efficiently

A human resources survey or questionnaire on how to increase employee productivity

A plan on how to improve customer relationship management (CRM) in a business or organization

Week 2----haven’t finished

For this module you will continue your project by preparing 3-4 additional pages, including adding to the reference page started in the project proposal.

Create these pages:

Research Design - determine which research method you will use and defend your position with pros and cons about using it. Explain the pros and cons of the ethical considerations you identified last week from your initial and reply posts in the Module 1 discussion forum.

Format your references in APA format on the last sheet of your Word file. Select at least 4 scholarly, peer-reviewed articles for this assignment in addition to the ones you list in the project proposal.

Week 3

It is now time to add some background material on your company. Based on that background, choose an appropriate measurement scale that will work the best for your project. In addition, list the limitations associated with your chosen measurement scale and then defend why you will use that measurement scale in spite of the limitations, and include at least two measurement errors that may occur using your measurement scale.

Your course project should be at least 3 pages in length.

Create these pages:

Background Material

Measurement scale based on the background.

Week 4

1st part All of the preparation of the course project has led to this point; time to begin actual research. You will use the results of this assignment to start the second part of the course project in this module - creating chart graphs in Excel.

Design and pre-code 40 research questions for your company that you chose in Module 1. In a 1-2 page paper, use hypothesis testing to predict results.

Prepare a package of a written summary of the case study or article, and a copy of the coded questions you have prepared.

Give these packages to 10 different people and ask if they would answer the research questions.

Create a Findings section in your course project. In 3-4 pages, compile their answers and prepare the data for analysis.

2nd part Create a custom table in Excel for your chosen project with charts listed below; use the 40 pre-coded research questions that you created in the Course Project 1 of this module for the data that you will include in the charts. The charts will be copied into the course project Word document for submission.

Please remember to include the following in your Excel spreadsheet:

Sampling techniques

Sample size

Mean

Deviations

Combine the charts on separate sheets with your written paper and add two additional pages explaining the table and the information shown on the table.

Week 5

1stpart Finish creating your Excel spreadsheet from Module 4 for your chosen project with charts listed below. Please remember to include the following in your Excel spreadsheet:

Sampling techniques

Sample size

Mean

Deviations

Combine any additional charts on separate sheets with your written paper and complete with the explanation of the table and the information shown on the table.

2nd part With your research completed, you will now turn your attention to how to report your findings. In addition to the written report, many businesses expect their employees to give a presentation of their findings. This assignment will be a chance for you to create a presentation based on your work to date.

Prepare a 10 - 12 slide PowerPoint presentation of your course project. Consider your audience to be management of the case study company. What specific material would you include so that your audience will receive your presentation positively?

Week 6

1st part PowerPoint presentation:

Complete your 10 - 12 slides PowerPoint presentation of your course project that you began in Module 5. Please remember to consider your audience to be management of the case study company. What specific material would you include so that your audience will receive your presentation positively?

2nd part Final Project

The last items your research project needs is an Executive Summary, a Table of Contents for the assembled project and most importantly, a Conclusions sections from the research along with a Recommendations section for the company management.

Once you have created the above sections, prepare a package of the original case study and a copy of the coded questions you prepared last week. Include the package as a separate document with your course project paper.

Proofread your paper for final submission, changing items as needed for a professional presentation. Prepare a management report to present to the company.

The paper should be between 15 - 20 pages, not including your title page and reference page. Assemble your report in this order (already completed items are shown in parenthesis from the corresponding week you completed them):

Title Page (week 1)

Executive Summary (week 6)

Table of Contents (week 6)

Introduction (week 1)

Problem Statement (week 1)

Research Objectives (week 1)

Background Material (week 3)
