Hello teacher,

I hope this email finds you doing well. I'm ******, a student of yours in the ***** class. I really don't know how to start this email. However, I hope at least it won't sound impolite or inappropriate.

First, I would like to emphasize that I'm so lucky to have the chance to study here and to take these wonderful courses. Also, I prefer a face-to-face class to Online one because I believe it has a greater potential for learning. However, I seriously have issues being the center of attention, and this has impeded me to do well in many classes. I really don't want to sound like I'm complaining or looking for excuses because I'm not. But seriously this is a burden that affects my performance in the same class and other classes in the same term as well. Just yesterday, I had been preparing and practicing for the simple and easy "elevator pitch" most of the time from noon until before the class began, which drives my wife and me crazy. Because I couldn't get it out of my mind when I should've spent that time focusing on the content of my classes. Unfortunately, I changed most of my "elevator pitch" when the time comes to deliver it, only to use clear and short sentences. I know that 5 hours to practice one-minute speech sound insane and unbelievable, but the burden is too.

Frankly, before I register for your class, my plan was to register for an Online ****** course to avoid the oral presentation because I know that I can't do it, or maybe I can but not in a helpful and healthy way for me. However, I've been advised to stay in your class and that it wouldn't hurt to ask you this. I mean if there is any chance to record my presentation on video instead of delivering it face to face. It would mean a lot to me because it would make this challenging term much manageable and most importantly much useful. This way, I will be able to provide better BP and at the same time, get more information from the face-to-face course.

I would understand if you can't accept that because I registered in your class knowing about the oral presentation. So I'm aware that it's my problem at the first place, I'm just trying my luck here.

I'm sorry, I don't want to start this class with this email, but I have no choice because the time is running and this topic might change my schedule and the duration of my staying here, so I am just trying to put everything on track and be aware of my stuff.

Thank you in advance,

*****
