Conculsion

Understanding mental health and how society copes will continue to be analyzed in order to provide the best possible options for not only treatment but the rights of those afflicted.

Schizophrenia and brief psychotic disorders are two challenges to the system.

There have been many laws enacted in order to define and protect the rights of those who struggle with mental illness. So much more needs to be done as the understanding the mentally ill should become a fabric of our society.

I hope that this presentation provided a glimpse of the complexities and challenges mental illness. Education is always important in any area and how mental illness is addressed in our society is a true reflection of our understanding of these disorders.
