APA Paper Guidelines
You will write a 4-5 page paper based on the book Josie’s Story by Sorrell King. A grading rubric is posted to guide the content of your paper. Since this is a pharmacology course, I will expect to see principles learned in this course reflected in the paper. I will also expect your paper to be written in a professional manner.
Paper due: Monday March 21th by 2359
APA (6th edition) is the required writing style. You may use an APA book or an on-line reference such as the Purdue website, OWL, which is helpful with APA style. Points may be deducted for APA errors, spelling and grammatical errors, or not observing the length requirement.
Make sure to include a title page and a reference page, no abstract is necessary. Limit the body of the paper to no more than 5 pages (double-spaced). You will be required to turn the paper in electronically through Turnitin on the Blackboard site. The font should be Times New Roman and please use correct spacing and margins.
Please use at least three professional medical or nursing references in addition to the book. You must use professional references no more than 5 years old. I can tell if you use references intended for non-medical people by the words that you use in your paper. One reference can be your textbook, one from the nursing literature (search through the ISU library), and one from another medical source.
The paper is worth a total of 25 points. Please follow the link provided in your syllabus if you need information about plagiarism. I expect each of you to write your own paper. Plagiarism may result in failure of this course.
