I enjoyed meeting you and the staff photographers at the recent interview for the graphics position at the News. Your plans for the special online magazine are exciting, and I know that I would have enjoyed my assignments greatly.
However, because I have decided to continue my education part-time at Western Washington University in Bellingham, I have accepted a position with the Bellingham American. Not having to commute to Everett will give me more time for my studies and also for my freelance work.
Thank you for your generous offer and for the time you and the staff spent explaining your plans to me. I wish you much success with the new online magazine.
