Amalie Emmy Noether was born in 23/03/1882 in Germany a place called Bavaria. She was a daughter of a mathematical professor called Max Noether. She attended a ‘finishing school because she wasn’t allowed to attend regular college preparatory school (Ramaswamy, 1998,). She chose to specialize in English and French. In 1990, Noether graduate from Höhere Töchter Schule that was situated in Erlangen. She passed her exams and was certified to teach French and English at the school for women. After German professor had granted Noether permission, she took a two-year mathematics class at the University of Erlangen (Ramaswamy, 1998,). This was after she passed the matriculation examination in the year 1903. She then attended mathematical classes of leading lecturers like Hilbert, Minkowski, Klien, and Blumenthal. For her doctorate, she joined the University of Erlangen where she gained her doctorate in 1907 and awarded Ph.D. degree in Mathematics (Siegmund-Schultze, 2007,).

Noether later worked at the University of Erlangen mathematical institute without pay in the year 1908-1915. This is where she did her research. In 1915, she was invited to join the mathematics department at the University of Gottingen. Noether become a associate lecturer in the year 1922 at the same university, and her services were rewarded by base salary. Noether become a guest lecturer in the year 1928-1929 at the University of Moscow. In 1930, she taught at the Frankfurt University. She gave a mathematics lecture in 1932 Zurich’s international mathematical contest. Until 1933, she was a member of the Gottingen. In that year, she moved to the USA and spent some times teach as a guest professor at the Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.
Noether had achievemeng in her life by the year 1933. She had a privilege of working with the top mathematics professor’s and was respected by all. She had the passion for math and was able to explore it to her hearts contents (Zassenhaus, 1982,). Everything changed when Hitler placed Noether and another professor on leave until further notice, but she remained calm and courageous all through.
Noether achievements
In 1915, Noether published her first major work in theoretical physics now referred to as “Noether’s Theorem.” The theory proved a relationship between symmetries in conservation principals and physics. The paper was used as a cornerstone for the theory of relativity. Noether won the Privatdozent position in 1919. This post was considered to be the insecure academic position because she was a non-tenured lecturer. Her 1921 paper was found vital for the development of modern algebra. Before 20 century, algebra’s research were concerned with the development of techniques that will help in the solving of mathematical equations. But modern algebraists such as Noether were concerned with the formal properties of algebraic expressions.
Noether main concentration was non-commutative algebra, linear transformations, and how they are applied to the varying numbers. She built the theory of non-commutative algebra in a new conceptual and unified way. She investigated the structure of non-commutative algebra and how they could be applied to commutative fields. Through the research, they studied and defined the properties are known as rings, groups and fields. Noether published only 37 research papers, but her influence was widely seen on the work of her students. Most of them become outstanding researchers in their fields either mathematics (Srinivasan, 2010,). Noether achieved in teaching her student on how to think for themselves in both general and simple terms. In this way, Noether and her student were able to assist in the discovery of the new algebraic patterns that was obscured previously.
Noether also helped in the editing of the Mathematische Annalen. She was the center of very high mathematical activity at Göttingen. This was from the year 1930 to 1933. It's heard for someone to judge the extent of her papers from her papers. Students and colleges were the beneficiaries of much of her work. Noether had an achievement of showing that women could excel in mathematics. This is because mathematics was considered to be for men. This was not, however, a fat because through history many women excelled in math. Noether and other women achieved a lot in mathematics even though her name might be forgotten.
Death and legacy
Earlier, Noether underwent a surgery to remove a tumor on her uterine. But there was a post-operative infection that caused her to die in 1935. Her students fondly loved and respected her. She was honored by the Erlangen University after the world war two. A co-gymnasium that was only dedicated to mathematics was named after her. Her ashes were buried in the proximity of Bryn Mawr's library.
Conclusion
Emmy Noether remains a celebrated figure in the world. This is because she made a lot of contribution to the mathematics field. Most of her time was spent doing math and learned of abstract algebra. Mary Noether was a teacher that used her simplicity and uniqueness to inspire children to do great things and becoming great mathematics innovators.
