Attach one Excel spreadsheet with a separate page for each chart requested, and charts must be labeled and be stand-alone comprehensible.

All sheets must include Excel data (simply cut and paste relevant data from data set) used to generate the chart, formula, or answer the question. If you include more data than used to generate your chart highlight the data actually used.

1. Using the data set “2010 Census HH by Race” perform the following:

a. Generate two percentage pie charts in Excel illustrating how husband wife households are divided across the subcategories of “with own children” and “without own children”. Do one for “Total” and one for “Blacks of African”

b. In Excel create a formula function calculating the percent of unmarried couple households that are same-sex partners (use summary counts). Do this for Total, White, Black, and Asian?

2. Using the data set “2013 Population by Age and Sex” create an Excel Histogram illustrating the age ranges “under 25”, “25-39”, “40-64”, and “65+”. Use data for “both sexes”.

3. Using the data set “2014 Election Voter Registration data” perform the following:

a. Determine if women or men are more likely to vote at each age group; substantiate with the data.

b. For each age group under “Both Sexes”, create a formula to calculate the differences between the percent reporting that they registered to vote and the percent reporting that they actually voted. Which age group stands out the most, in your opinion what might explain this?

4. Using the data set “DHS Immigration Data” locate table 3 and create one line chart showing how both the number of “Permanent Residents” and “Permanent Residents Eligible to Naturalize” has changed across time.

5. Using the data set “Zillow Median Home Prices” perform the following:

a. In Excel, create a sorted spreadsheet based on highest to lowest median home prices for San Diego Metro Area in November of 2015.
