P ROJECT: P SYCHOL OGICAL ANAL YS IS
Project Introduction:
This course includes a comprehensive two-part project. For Part 1, choose a famous individual excluding any
psychologist and gather biographical information from reputable and reliable sources. You are expected to
include a psychological analysis of the individual by selecting one of the seven major perspectives in modern
psychology. For Part 2 of the project, continue your analysis of the individual by focusing on factors that
motivate individuals.
Course Learning Objectives Covered:
Define selected terms in the field of psychology.
Describe historical and contemporary topics in the field of psychology.
Examine the principles that apply to scientific research in psychology.
Analyze how sensation, perception, motivation, and emotion impact human experiences
and behavior.
Use relevant developmental theories to compare and contrast human development
characteristics occurring across different stages of the human lifespan.
Differentiate between the five primary theories of personality (trait,
psychoanalytic/psychodynamic, humanistic, social-cognitive and biological).

Title: Psychological Analysis
In this part of the project, you will choose a famous individual
other than a psychologist and conduct a psychological analysis
of the individual using one of the seven major perspectives in
modern psychology. Perform the following tasks:
Identify your person of interest, excluding any
psychologist, and locate reliable, biographical sources
of information from reputable and reliable sources.
Avoid using gossip sites and tabloids.
Write a bio-sketch of the individual, highlighting the
following aspects:

o Work life
o Personal life
o Accomplishments
Choose one of the seven major perspectives in modern
psychology, which are:
