Product Ordering System and Design Document

Description of the Company system

The products of the company include; desktop computers, laptops, network routers, switches and hubs and computer hardware components. The specific product that you will use initially for your ordering system will be the HP 450 G2 Laptop. This laptop comes in a variety of colors such as black, grey, red and blue. The range of costs of this laptop include: $86, $50 and $45 (which depends with internal features).

Use Case: Description

The Hewlett-Packard company ordering system requires that the customer feeds in his/or her name in an input dialog then indicating if a new customer or a frequent customer. Then the customer selects the RAM and hard disk capacity, color and the size.

If the laptop is 2 GB and 500 GB, then the price is $45. If the laptop is 4 GB and 500 GB, then the price is $50. If the laptop is 4 GB and 750 GB, then the price is 86$.

Then the system processes the input and produces a message which shows the product purchased with its details. If the customer is a frequent one, then a 5% discount is placed on the purchased item
