DRUG REFERENCE GUIDE
The drug reference guide will be on six different drugs of your choice including stimulants, depressants, inhalants, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, opioids, dietary supplements, over-the-counter medications, prescriptions medications, marijuana, hallucinogens, and performance-enhancing drugs. Examples include cigarettes, Ritalin, ecstasy, Valium, Prozac, crystal meth, vodka, coffee, St, John’s Wort, Aspirin, LSD, Morphine, steroids, etc.
You must include the following information:
• Name(s) of drug o Brand name
o Generic name
o Street names
• Usage of Drug o Beneficial/ intended use (treatment)
o Causes for Concern (misuse and/or abuse)
• Dosage o How much is necessary for intended effects?
o What is the overdose potential?
• Storage o What is a safe and desirable environment to store the drug?
• Precautions o Warnings
o Toxicity
o Dependence potential
• Side effects o Potential effects that are not desired
o Withdrawal symptoms
• Drug Interactions o Route(s) of administration
