Mobile Application is a software that runs on mobile devices mainly the smartphones as well as tablets. Mobile Application favorite known as Apps have dominated most of the role played by the computers. Apps usually assist the users via connecting the users to specific services that are provided internet wise. Such services are usually accessible via computers but in this case, the user only needs to have the mobile device in order to access. Moreover, they help by making the use of internet relatively easy by providing direct links to the services (Matthias, 2011). Apps differ where some are free while others are sold. The free ones can be found in the sites of the manufacturer or common markets that are online such as Google Play or App store. One is required to pay a one-time fee or durational fee order to access the services. Apps link to further sites thus enabling service delivery quick at less time. Other Apps are pre-installed in mobile devices prior to sale hence one buys with the App installed.
Mobile apps were previously used to retrieve information and general productivity such as calendar, email, calendar, weather, accessing stock market information among others. Demand for services have led to developer tools coming into place for example, the ones that are handled by application software meant for desktop. Developers consider variety of issues before bringing an app into place such as, screen size, configurations, specifications of the hardware of the target devices among others. Emulators are usually used in order to test whether an app is working. Most of these emulators contain specifics such as those of the target devices. Emulators are virtual hence assist a developer to determine whether an app is effective. Apps are used for variety of needs which increase day in day out. Most businesses are finding it impossible to fail to go online with changes in technology. As a result, most of such business are going for the apps (Perez, 2014). Sales, accessing bank account, students accessing their school portals among other uses are done via apps. If one no longer requires the app, developer apps are uninstalled successfully giving a chance to other apps to be installed. It’s vital to note that not all apps are used for the right purposes. Some apps are used for unethical purposes. The move has made business to opt for app wrapping in order to eliminate data siphoning via apps.
