Unit 1: Thesis Statement: Identification and Justification of Topic
Thesis Statement
Marijuana should be legalized under federal law for medical uses. The legalization of medical marijuana on a federal level, as a controlled substance, can be examined in two areas: (1) the benefits of legalizing marijuana far outweighs its risks, and (2) there are inconsistencies in current legal policies governing medical marijuana versus more dangerous drugs, such as alcohol.
