Case Study (35%) General  Information In  this  assignment  you  will  respond  to  the  Case  Study  Questions  based  on  the   “JetBlue  and  WestJet:  A  Tale  of  Two  IS  Projects”  case  found  on  page  450  of  the   textbook.  It  can  readily  be  accessed  as  it  is  in  the  prescribed  E-­‐book.

You  will  produce  a  report  that  relates  to  various  aspects  of  ICT/IS  management  that   affect  a  changing  organization  –  in  this  case  JetBlue  and  WestJet.  In  order  to   complete  the  report,  you  will  need  to  extend  your  knowledge  of  topics  covered  in   the  course.  Note  that  this  assessment  refers  to  concepts  covered  in  weeks  1  –  11,  so   you  will  need  to  be  mindful  of  content  regarding  building  and  implementing   Information  Systems.

You  need  to  reference  external  material  other  than  the  text  in  order  to   complete  this  assignment  successfully.  ALL  use  of  external  sources  must  be   cited  in  Harvard  format.  Plagiarism  detection  will  be  used  in  this  assessment.

Case  Study Carefully  read  and  study  the  case  study  titled  “JetBlue  and  WestJet:  A  Tale  of  Two  IS   Projects”  case  found  on  page  450  of  the  textbook.  

Your  Task Create  a  report  in  which  you  address  the  four  Case  Study  Questions,  using  external   literature  sources  to  support  your  answers.    

You  may  use  additional  literature  to  the  ones  you  researched  in  Assignment  One   should  that  prove  appropriate.  

The  use  of  academic  literature  is  essential,  however  it  is  appropriateness  and   quality  rather  than  quantity  that  counts.  As  a  rough  guideline,  it  would  be  difficult  to   produce  a  report  of  this  kind  without  having  read  at  least  eight  papers.  Some   sections  lend  themselves  to  a  wider,  more  general  review  (Success  and  Failure)   while  other  sections  lend  themselves  to  specific  understanding  of  key  papers  and   models  (Evaluation  models).

Your  task  is  to  go  beyond  the  text  and  explore  a  few  of  the  concepts  in  greater  depth   –  you  need  to  demonstrate  that  you  have  done  this.
