Requirements in Content, Length, and Format

The focus of the Final Paper must be only one of the ten leadership concepts listed above.

The paper will consist of a minimum of three parts:

1. An introduction to concept

2. A detailed explanation of the leadership concept with at least one real or theoretical example of its application

3. A critique of the concept.

· In your opinion, is the concept valid? Is it practical? Why? Specifically, give a reason for your opinion, and support in with facts, observations, or logic.

The paper must be no fewer than 1,000 words and no more than 1,500 words.

Acceptable References

You must have at least three acceptable references for the information contained in your paper. The course text cannot count as one of the three references. Wikipedia is NOT an acceptable reference. Blogs and websites that simply present unsupported opinions are not acceptable references. If you have a question on what resources are acceptable or unacceptable references, ask your Instructor for guidance. Instructors will look favorably upon your paper if it has more than the required minimum of references.

Evaluation

In addition to the intellectual content, each paper will be evaluated for clarity of writing and adherence to APA standards. Also see the rubric, provided in the Course Information area.

Requirements Before Submitting Your Project in Week 5

Your Final Paper will conform to APA (American Psychological Association) style and format. Before submitting your paper in Week 5, you should:

· Review the Final Paper Template. Use this template as a guide for your final paper.

· Submit the paper to Grammarly (formerly Sentenceworks), which is a powerful automated grammar and writing revision tool for academic writing located at the Walden Writing Center.

· After submitting the paper to Grammarly, submit it to the Turnitin Draft links in the Academic Integrity area to have its originality checked.

· Once you have submitted the paper to the above sites for review, make the appropriate edits and revisions.

Submit by Day 7 your completed Final Paper. Before submitting your Final Paper, ensure that your project meets all of the following requirements:

· The body of the paper has the three required parts:

· An introduction to subject area and the topic

· A detailed explanation with at least one real or theoretical example of its application.

· A critique of the subject

· The paper is no fewer than 1000 words and not more than 1500 words, not including references, cover page, or the abstract.

· The paper follows APA (American Psychological Association) style and format:

· Cover page

· Abstract (not to exceed 50 words)

· Headings

· Footers

· Page numbers

· Font and size

· Margins

· References (at least three: the course text and Wikipedia are not acceptable)

· Citations

· In proper format

· For all information presented

· Submitted to Grammarly

· Spelling, grammar, and punctuation is correct

· Quotation marks where appropriate

· Paper has flow
