Security Policies

The security threat is the greatest challenge that is facing the world today. Security status has the final role in determining the global economy primarily local and foreign investors, companies, and business organization. There is, therefore, a need for developing good security policies to oversight security matters in business firms. Security strategy contains the purpose that is, potentials and clear goals of the policy. It must be compliant with the state and federal regulations, previous updated and tested date as well as contact information. Organizations are supposed to handle their security plans with a high level of confidentiality and integrity; whether the information that is in the process is accidental or deliberate. Policy information should be available when it is needed and to several users as possible. Therefore, organizations need to create appropriate security policy documents that frameworks only necessities and rules that need be met. For example, security response strategy system that describes the need for business elements to be reinforced by the InfoSec team to maintain and improve an answer security approaches.

Security Response Plan Policy

This plan requires the safety and organization crews to assimilate their efforts in different perspectives such as communication, awareness, and well-coordinated reply especially when the crises come. Most importantly, this security strategy design describes a product, escalation paths, contact information, and predictable provision level settlements. Besides, it also gives room for impact classification, severity as well as remediation or mitigation timelines. By achieving this, business organizations can have continuity processes and can come up with new products and services (Gyamfi & Krumdieck, 2011). Like for example, when new preparing new products and releasing them to consumers and an incident has occurs, response team rapidly finds mitigation and any remediation that is required.

The main purpose of response policy is to create the necessity that all organization units that are sustained by InfoSec team maintain and improve a high level of response safety strategy. It ensures that executive security team has all the required knowledge and information to articulate an effective response when a particular safety incident has occurred. Good contact information is necessary in case an escalation or incidence has occurred during non-business hours. Sometimes it may perhaps be 24/7 necessity subject on the professional worth of the services or goods, together with effect to the consumer. The SRP files need to include all email address and phone contacts for the committed team supporters.

Implementation follows after writing the document and approval has been made. Support is necessary when the paper is not written by the highest-ranked administrator in a company who has the power to put into effect this material. Therefore, the development, execution, and implantation of security response strategies are the primary responsibilities of any business element with the cooperation of InfoSec Team. Business units of any organization are anticipated to enable appropriately the SRP to be relevant to the products and services they are apprehended responsible. Organization business security elements champion or coordinator is also further expected to work together with association information safety unit with one goal of maintenance and development of response safety strategy.

Moreover, it is advisable to set a timeline to achieve full implantation, make changes in a well-organized order so that there are minimal effects of the process as well as the workers who are expected to manage this process. An operational timeline will enable new suppliers, equipment, and training to be realized earlier before full operation. For instance, if the implementation is done without a valid order, it can build frustration especially to those who are responsible for growth and development for the exertion procedures.

Communicating the policy made by the organization should be well systematic and structured. The change affects all employees at all levels and, therefore, organizational policy whether small or large, it is necessary to be communicated and explained. Mostly, when changes have the emotional impact on how workers perform their jobs in these business units. Employees in business firms are at the sympathy of the executive to notify them of any ups and downs. Response strategy department must have a well-organized message structure especially when it comes to changes in work processes aiming at improving customer approval (Celsi & Gilly, 2010). More so, when deciding methods that will help to reduce the costs of having so many workers where else they can use advanced technology that is cheaper and faster when it comes to safety response. Like for example, the use of computerized alarms and sensors that alert the whole organization when there is a danger.

Because the workers are brought together by good communication, it is, therefore, significance that they will understand the reason a Safety Response Policy (SRP) was made and their participation in developing new strategies. In institutions where a poor communication strategy and structure exist, rumor mills will start to spread which in turn can generate resistance to that policy (Celsi & Gilly, 2010). Business units, therefore, need to be proactive when it comes to communication and will reduce the chances of resistance making workers feel right when they realize they are included in the growth, improvement, and development process of the association.

Any organization needs to train their workers when a new policy has been introduced to the firm. Although training is the utmost important; it is often forgotten. Usually, workers are exhausted by continuous policies and they even resist new systems especially if it demands them to work more. It is necessary to train employees in various business units and explain to them why new policies and procedures are introduced to them, their necessity whether right or wrong to them as well as the company (Mantzana, Themistocleous, & Morabito, 2010). For example, training of Safety Response Team (SRT) is necessary because it is wrong to assume that every worker has the skills handle security matters while this worker cannot. It is, therefore, advisable to train response safety workers on new policies to make them familiarize with latest security measures and the particular response that is supposed to be taken. Workers need specific knowledge and skills especially those who are dealing with security matters of the business firms.

In many cases where a new employee has been recruited, response department unit is supposed to give a kind of orientation to these members. Although adjustment takes some time, it will give new workers necessary sympathetic of the safety department operation, ground rule and regulations, its structure, and social resource benefits and policies. Training the organization makes the workers as wholes, and so they have knowledge; understanding how well they fit in as well as the institution systems such clothes to wear during response safety operations and latest communication devices. Members need to training be on matters regarding discriminating others basing on tribe, religion, and race. By training workers on new policies introduced, it becomes easier to handle them, and it also brings harmony to the organization achieving its optimum production.

For Security Response Policy Strategy (SRPS) to be useful in business organizations, other activities must be developed to supplement implementation, communication and training of the workers. Organization needs to follow up with the execution and evaluate how the response policy is functioning and more so if it is delivering the desired consequences that were the proposals during policy formulation (Gyamfi & Krumdieck, 2011). In some instances, new systems may exceed the goal prospects and in other cases the system may fall to work as it was intended and, therefore, management response team is supposed to make adjustments until the planned target comes true. Sometimes workers encounter obstructions when implementing the policies, either from other departments, employees, inadequate equipment, and training or lack supply needs. It is the responsibility of management to make sure that workers implement policies without obstacles for the organization to celebrate the success.

In conclusion, security response policies work well especially once they are concise or to the point. Policies made should always maintenance and be controlled by institution needs. When there are complete supports, organizations response security systems will help it act deliberately when an incident has occurred regarding their products or service to their customers.
