Creating a Creo Drawing Using the ENGR 100 Drawing Template 1. Download the drawing template file from the
course website “drawing_template.drw” 2. Place the file in the same folder as the assembly
and part files that you want to use 3. Open Creo Parametric 4. Open drawing_template.drw 5. Save a Copy of the template with your selected
title. 6. Open this file 7. Follow the next slides
8. Select “Drawing Models”
9. Select “Add Model”
10. Pick the file you want to insert and select “Open”
11. Your part will appear in the model tree. Select done in the menu
12. Select “General” to insert views
13. Click in white space of the drawing and the view will appear with the settings window
14. Select the view that you want to insert and press “apply”
15. Change the scale if your part is too large for the drawing area
16. Change the display style to “Wireframe” then select OK
17. Move views manually by turning of “Lock View Movement” and then drag the view by hand. 18. Edit the setting by double clicking on the view 19. Insert more views by repeating steps 12 to 16
20. Edit the title box at the bottom by selecting the “Annotate” tab at the top then double click on the box that you want to edit. The properties box will open and you can change the text
21. Add dimension using the “Dimension” tool under the “Annotate” tab like you do when creating a part
22. Create a PDF file by going to “Save a Copy” and changing the file type to “PDF”. Select “Grayscale” under the settings

Instructions: Creating images of your model in Creo:
1. Open the model that you want images of in Creo 2. Orient the model on the screen in the position that you want in the image file 3. Select File > Save As 4. Click the “Type” dropdown menu and select JPEG(*.jpg) 5. Type in the file name that you want to use under “File Name” 6. Click OK 7. The Shaded Image Configuration menu pops up 8. Click the “Dots per inch” dropdown menu and select 300 dpi 9. Click OK 10. The image will be saved in your working directory
Inserting and editing images in Microsoft Word:
1. Click on the location in the document that you want the image to be inserted 2. Click on the Insert menu then select “Pictures” 3. Select the file you want to insert and click “Insert” 4. The image you selected will now be in your document 5. Crop the image by double clicking on the image and selecting “Crop” from the
“Picture Tools” menu at the top 6. Drag the black cropping bars to remove the unwanted white area of the image 7. Push enter on the keyboard to finish cropping 8. Insert figure title by right clicking on image and selecting "Insert Caption" 9. Type in the title that you want to use with the figure and click OK
Final Submission Instructions:
You must submit the report to BbLearn as a PDF file along with a zip file of ALL of your assembly, part, drawing, and template files 1. Create the report using a word processor then save it as a PDF for submission 2. For example in Microsoft Word: FILE > Save as Adobe PDF 3. Combine the PDF drawing file with the report file and submit as one PDF

Description I modeled a pulley system to show the class the outline of the report using the premade tutorial parts from the website. The model was based off of a real pulley shown in Figure 1. The assembly is made with five parts and which were constructed using extrude, cut, revolve, hole, pattern, round, and chamfer. The pulley part was made by revolving a sketch to create the overall shape then the hole tool was used and patterned around the flat portion and was cleaned up using the round and chamfer tool.
