Introduction
The compensation portfolio signature of any business unit or organization serves reward and attracts the loyalty of the employees of the organization and ensures their preference to work at the organization comparative to the other competing organizations. In this era of increased business competition, every organization expresses the desire to retain and maintain its effective and efficient workforce by the provision of better working offers relative to the competitors in the market. This assignment project sets to present an analysis of the compensation portfolio signature of Apple Incorporation in two parts. The first part of the analysis process focuses on the analysis of a few select job positions at the multinational incorporation, internal and external motivation factors and the performance evaluation factors of the multination technological incorporation. The second part highlights the performance evaluation system of the multinational incorporation based on the performance evaluation factors in part one. Additionally, the second part of the project assignment entails the specific pay structure for the jobs analyzed in part one and both the internal and external pay equities of the giant incorporation
Background of Apple Incorporation
Apple Inc. was founded on 1st April 1976 by Steve Job and Steve Wozniak who were then long-time friends and college dropouts. John Wayne, who was also influential in the formation and establishment of the incorporation, however, dropped out of the company and sold his 10% share to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for about $800. Since then the incorporation has witnessed tremendous growth and expansion in the technological market and industry.
