Introduction:
Developing a perspective of students in the enrollment process is the eventual goal of the below mentioned questionnaire. It is indicated by the records of attendance that the enrollment process is the key cause for the fall in enrollment. For understanding on a more detailed level, first, fourth and fifth questions were focused at the staff’s overall attitude toward the student throughout enrollment. Whether from Financial Aid, or Admissions, narrowing down the fields that require additional training of staff is important. Eventually, this step can also classify the necessity for the rotation of staff or changes in process.
Next, we want to understand the level of difficulty students are experiencing in obtaining the information they need to answer questions or determining the next step in the process. Questions 2, 3, 6, and 7 serves that purpose by gauging the staffs knowledge and whether the staff member is taking the time to meet the need of the enrolling student. Finally, question 10 allows to student to include concerns they may be having that was not covered in the previous questions. The information provided for question 10 has the potential in determining the need for an additional survey to address these issues brought out through this question.
The data was gathered from the students and is used in frequency tables, histograms, pie charts and central tendency. Mean and median were the most appropriate for the study. Histogram shows the graphical representation of the distribution of numerical data (Andrew S. Gibson, 2014). In the current study, Histogram is used with two variables: “Yes, and No.” All the histograms charts are showing results of different questions. Next, Pie chart is used in the study. Pie chart is a graph type in which a circle is separated in different sectors that every sector represents a part of the whole. Just like histograms, Pie chart also has two variables, Yes and No. Only four major questions were taken for the Pie chart. The graphical representation of pie chart is showing the perspective of students in the enrollment process.
