Endeavour Space Shuttle
If you want to study any subject in real life, you have to study it’s implication because there are different. First of all, when I visit the Endeavour Space Shuttle in Los Angeles, it gave me a good chance to understand practical implication of physics. In this experience, I tried my best to get information about prompting rocket into space and injection of satellite into orbit. Once I entered into the facility with great excitement, I was really so excited to try this experience. I tried to ask all the questions in my mind regarding movement of spacecraft and its later working in space.
This process was clarified in a simple and comprehendible way. It was illustrated that burned full create forward forces with caused backward ejection of rocket into the space. The backward force was produced with fuel burning and gave a forward push to the rocket. The result was finally driven into space. Based on Newton’s third law of motion, we did this process. The third law of Newton said actions and reactions are opponents of each other and they direct across each other, however, they have same qualities in terms of value, quantity and actions. This was the first process that I seen at that day.
Rocket’s fuel consumption of jet is totally different than jet engines’ fuel consumption for the movement in space. Jet engine primarily estimate over the fuel burning which helps them pulling it into the space. However,the rocket used different science of fuel consumption. Rocket use a combination of two liquid gases hydrogen and oxygen of fuel on board. Fuel burning on the board leads to the combustion process, which helps rocket moving into the space. In this experience I notified that, driving of rockets force depends upon fuel burning process not work on ground or air pushing.
One more fact, which is fuel tank covers major part of rocket’s tank “mechanic systems”. When the rocket has to be moving upward fast, it needs to use fuel in large quantity. Also it can be used as evidence of presence of huge fuel in rocket is that it confirms the momentum change rate and thus it ensures relevance of enough propulsion force for uplift. This evidence is also necessary to confirm the second law of motion of Newton. The second law of motion of Newton proposes that when magnitude of force is applied on a moving body shares a huge proportion of the momentum change rate. It was one of the most important parts I enjoyed today.
At this visit I got many important info about our planet’ secrets. The new info that I got is that earth is naturally protected against the radioactive particles emitted from the sun with the help of a natural electromagnetic filed around it. This protective electromagnetic layer is meant for the protection of the earth, but it can cause a risk of burning to the rocket which leaving or entering back to the earth due to the process of charge. In order to avoid the expected effect of charge and burning, tip of the rocket is projected in shape of curved shape and not in a pointed sharp nose. Purpose of designing this shape is to save rocket from the destructions against expected threat of electrostatic charging process.
With regards to aeronautical journey, I had studied a lot in our studies, which practically proved to be true, during visit to facility. Another, idea I inferred from that visit was that increase in the rate of body movement is not related with the body mass but it is directly connected with the earth mass known as Me, body radius from the center of earth known as Re and Kepler’s constant of proportionality. Thus it derives that g = (GMe/Re2).
Everything in the process of rocket propelling is strategically designed considering several facts rationally. Selection of rocket launching site has no exception to it. Rocket launching sites are selected wisely considering the fact that it should be the place from rocket could be strike into the orbit directly with less distance. This also ensures that all estimations made with regards to the rockets and satellite’s journey into space are accurate and there are less chances of calculations going wrong. For this purpose, rocket launching space is selected with minimal distance with the orbit. This ensures movement of satellite in continuous movement of satellite in a consistent manner. In order to balance the weight in the space, scientist utilized centripetal force equation when satellite is out in the space. Once they are in the space, they explore to get into the circular velocity. Once they are able to get into it, they are able to arrive at doomed point and starts establishing satellite into the orbit at a specified time.
It was indeed a great experience to visit to the Endeavor Space Shuttle facility and it equipped me with lot of knowledge to understand about physics principles and rocket and satellite ejection into space and orbit. However, there is lot more to learn about how exactly rocket operates in space, therefore, I need to further learn it through my studies and hopefully next visit arranged it a scientific facility would enable me to understand lot more about rocket operation.
