Urgent 1
The updated project deliverables for Phase 2 restated are as follows
Update your Information Technology Problem Analysis document title page with a new date and project name.
Update the previously completed sections based on instructor feedback.
New Content: Planning and Conducting ResearchConcerning Your Projectand MOVs
· Planning and conducting research related to MOVs which will be discussed in class
· Note: You will have some MOVs in mind as you begin research but you also should hope to find other potential MOVs as you conduct your research.
· Prepare at least two potential MOVs (objective) for your project. EachMOV should have research support related to the potentialMOV and the benefits and costs areas and risks related to the MOV. MOVs are discussed in detail in the document that I uploaded for week 2 course resources and I will also discuss MOVs in detail during week 2.
· For each MOV (objective) provide details describing how research helped you to better define and understand the problem(s) or opportunity and/or why it is happening and/or what the opportunity is and how you might be able to take advantage of the opportunity or solve the problem(s) with the use of IT.
· Discuss whatyour research tells you about what data will need to be collected, measured, and analyzed to evaluate any of the potential MOVs.
· Remember, through research, it can also happen that you find new candidates for MOVs that you had not previously considered and/or new ways to measure MOVs that you had not considered before. For example, maybe you had considered the costs of a security breach in terms of fines, and lawsuits, but until you read research articles during a strong research effort, you may not have considered that a substantial loss of revenue occurs from lost customers. Additionally you might find a study (they exist) that discusses the average total costs (costs from all lawsuits, fines, lost customers, increased insurance costs, etc.) per each breach of a record. These types of measures can be used to support MOVs and justify costs in a cost benefit analysis later on.
· See also the added examples for Phase 2 that I have uploaded in the Course Resources area.
· Phase 2 also asks for the items listed below – but these items are NOT required for phase 2 – instead – these items are also asked for in phase 4 and do not need to be completed until phase 4 because we do not yet know enough about the project to complete these activities in Phase 2.Therefore ignore the activitieslisted below for phase 2. They will be added mostly to Phase 4 (Unit 4).
Time Line and Resources
Develop a project time line for the research project.
Ensure that all of the required tasks are identified in the time line and that the project can be completed within the available time frame.
Identify all of the required resources that are necessary for execution of the project.
Provide a risk analysis for the project that identifies major risks and mitigation strategies.
Be sure to update your Table of Contents before submission.Name the document "yourname_IT697_IP2.doc."
