BUSN 260-‐481: Final Presentation
Presentation Date: Announced in class. Students will present their final project. Only present the highlights of your work using your slides. To make the slide deck more effective, students are encouraged to use relevant pictures and graphs. Students should include a slide that provides motivating reasons (data-‐driven insights) for their business problem before presenting the actual problem. Additionally, the major sections of the business problem analysis -‐-‐ scope, challenges, implementation plan, and expected performance -‐-‐ should be highlighted during the presentation. Students are also encouraged to watch a few TED talks in order to observe the traits of effective presenters. (2 points) Slide arrangement, Graphics, and Formatting
1. Logical progression of the slides is effective in presenting the ideas clearly 2. Pictures and graphs communicate/support the slide content 3. Overall slide design, slides should have the appropriate amount of text, slide
numbers 4. Unnecessary transitions avoided
B. (6 points) Effective Communication – all of the following are clearly communicated 1. (2 points) Technical analysis 2. (1 point) Technical challenges 3. (1 point) Solutions 4. (1 point) Limitations 5. (1 point) Insights
C. (1 point) Q&A – student groups answer questions effectively D. (1 point) Every group member speaks equally in 6 minutes
General Guidelines • A maximum of 6 minutes has been allocated for each presentation • This time includes laptop setup, presentation, and wrap up • Please bring your laptop for the presentation
