Music inspired by Art

Each piece of music (with the exception of Riley) was inspired by the artwork with which it is paired. Choose one pair (a piece of music and its artwork inspiration) from below and compare their features. Write a 2-3 page essay (12 point font, double spaced, 1 inch margins) remarking upon the musical characteristics of the music and the visual aspect of the art. In your opinion, how programmatic is the music? In what ways does the music convey (or not convey) the artwork’s mood and/ or visual element? Address any other issues you feel are relevant to the assignment.
