Problems faced by education
High school education is basic and fundamental for the growth and development of a teenager. Therefore, their performance is very crucial in terms of what they have grasped in the education system. The students have to perform higher than the normal standards, since there is an issue regarding their conduct and the output Fryer, R. G. (2010).
Thesis statement:Financial incentives should not be awarded to American high school students to perform well on standardized examinations. Technology is advancing more than teachers in America today, the students are expecting a reward for getting a good grade in their classes.
During the teenage period, there is so much hype occurring in the students as various issues such as adolescence, self-esteem and peer influence affect their concentration in class. Hence, the dismal performance is accredited to these challenges. However, when focusing on their improvement on academic performance, there is need to evaluate the best methods for this process. One of the choices includes offering financial incentives to the students. Schools with performance-based rewards improve the governance of schools by increasing the efficiency of resource allocation. And finally Student performance is increased, and teacher quality improves.
Witnessed in the types of tests rewarded, the graders being awarded the incentives and also the type of the incentives associated with cash.
Technology
Schools Kids are reportedly today more technologically advanced than any teachers today. This put the instructor in an awkward position when they attend classrooms. The student love for the technology tends to distract them from the classroom work. Scott-Norman (2011) says that when teachers do not have the techno brain, it can be difficult to keep student’s attention and teach new concept.
Therefore there are needs to make technology in classroom to keep with the learning demand. Teachers need to be constantly be upgraded technologically, with teaching resources including the latest technology so that the students do not leave them behind. Uncle San need to come in handy and help in the funding of the program to stop teachers from embarrassment in class.
Bullying
Conclusion
While education is the cornerstone of life everyone pursues, there is still a lot for the government can do to make the education better (Blog.ed.gov,. 2010). This includes providing legislation for the emerging trends of technology and their effects on the education, and Combatting bullying and regulating the reward schemes in education centers.
