Group Project
Group Project - VALUE: 20%
DUE: Week 6 & 10 via eCentennial Dropbox
Your Group Project will begin in Week 3, when your instructor assigns groups of 4-6 members and each group will have a team captain. You will be given time in class to work with your groups but will find it necessary to meet outside of class to ensure you are meeting your timetable and are using the on-line discussion board to earn marks.
Instructions:
1. Your instructor will select groups of four to six members.
2. Between your members, chose a country you wish to research. You will be looking at this country from every possible perspective. You should consider these specific areas of your chosen country: Country Overview, Culture, Politics & law, International trade, Currency and Exchange rates, Economic climate, Trade barriers, International economic relations (including with Canada), International strategy, and any other aspect deemed important or relevant to the region you select.
3. Devise a plan between your group as to how you plan to approach your country research; in other words, each of you will be responsible for which aspect i.e. culture, religion, business, politics, trade, etc. Think of it this way: You are a manager at a mid-sized food distribution company and you have just been told by your boss that you are going to Australia for 2 years. What things would you like to know before you leave your home country and what issues do you want to know about for your arrival?
4. Develop a timetable to ensure you are prepared for a 15-18 minute in-class, group presentation. As a group, you will also complete a powerpoint that is to be submitted before your presentation. Your team captain will post your group powerpoint in the eCentennial dropbox.
5. Students work in groups but submit individual work and receive individual marks, based on the reports, presentation and peer evaluation form. Each individual will need to submit an outline of their part of the presentation with proper APA cited research, and the Group Project Peer & Self Evaluation Form in the eCentennial dropbox.
Group Presentation:
I will be looking for organization, creativity in delivery, content, explanations of the main issues and insight into the culture of this country. Most of all; “Did we learn something new from your presentation?”

China's history.docx
China is a large country. the country with a long history.
About the history of China I want to is divided into three parts
The first part Ancient Chinese history
(1) Of the spring and autumn period and the warring states period, Qi Guanzhong reform, implement the "phase and failure character", essentially admitted the private ownership of land. The last Shang Qin waste mining field, buildings, land privatization gradually. (2) In the tang dynasty: rent threshold modulation: on the basis of the Sui, tang dynasty to taxes reform of service system of thought, practice the rent threshold modulation. Rent threshold modulation the production time of the farmers is guaranteed, taxation of relative ease, the government's tax revenue has the safeguard. Two tax law: in 780, was one accept the advice of the Prime Minister Yang yen, the implementation of two tax law. (3) Of the Ming dynasty: one lash method: in 1581, the cabinet of the Ming dynasty records of Zhang Juzheng implementation of one lash method in the whole country. A whip method with the original land tax and corvee, taxes, "and a", in silver, the service of the tax on households, once upon a time, split on the field, according to his and the amount of field to share, this greatly increased the taxes in the currency. A whip is a major reform in the history of our service, "" to" "quantity meter reading", the provisions of the Nano silver generation service, the relative ease the burden on farmers, also to the growth of agricultural commercialization and the bud of capitalism. (4) of the Qing dynasty: stand diced into mu: emperor YongZheng when push "booth butyl mu", the temple tax evenly into the land tax levy unified Deeding silver. In this way, long-term implementation of poll tax abolished since the han and tang dynasties. Feudal state personal control further relaxation for farmers and the phenomenon of the hidden population is gradually reduced. Booth butyl people mu for China's social and economic development and population growth has important significance.

Struggle history starting from the peasant class uprising, the Taiping heavenly kingdom movement, the boxers movement has failed, the bourgeoisie began their protests, from the reform movement, the revolution, to the establishment of the republic of China, they vigorously promoted Chinese history forward. But they also did not change the half colonial semi-feudal society social nature. Finally, arduous task falls on the proletariat, the May 4th movement was kicked off, with the establishment of the communist party of China, and on the growth of the Chinese people eventually won the final victory! (1840-1949),
